Plains is looking to add an Analyst, IT Architecture that will report into our Director of Business Engagement & Architecture. This role is a critical component of our team, designed to bridge strategic vision with architectural practice and execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategy and business plans in relation to information systems architecture. This involves participation in assessing current capabilities, identifying needs, and supporting the development of future architectures under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Support the establishment and management of an IT governance framework that aligns with strategic and operational objectives. This includes understanding policy, contributing to leadership discussions, and helping to promote awareness of regulatory compliance within the architecture practice.
- Assist in managing and aligning IT services and systems across the organization. This requires a good understanding of technology and business operations to ensure IT architecture supports strategic goals under the direction of more senior roles.
- Participate in the design and implementation of architectural solutions that meet both current and future IT and business needs. This includes contributing to the development, refinement, and implementation of architectural principles and standards.
- Support change management activities, ensuring that changes to the IT architecture are managed in a controlled manner. Responsibilities include helping to plan, communicate, and manage the impact of changes with oversight from more senior roles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- The ideal candidate will have an interest in either Enterprise Architecture or Project Management as this role will play a supporting role to the delivery of our architectural solutions across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Security and 7+ years of experience preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.) designation desirable but not required.
- Open Group Open Certified Architect (Open CA) certification is desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture.
- Ability to analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
- Ensures recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment.
- Strong communicator and able to coordinate and organize plans that align with our architectural principles and practices.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
