HR Generalist
$35,800 – $40,000 per year, flexible work arrangements, robust group benefits package

Science North is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of Organizational Development Officer. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting several key functions of the Organizational Development team, operate as a key resource for staff and management across the organization and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes and initiatives. Through a lens of organizational excellence, you will contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace culture within the organization.
Position highlights:
- Recruiting and selection processes – Administer job postings, respond to candidate inquiries, attend recruitment events, provide interview support
- Grant programs – Assist in the writing, submission, reporting and administration of employment grant applications/reporting
- HRIS and payroll functions/process – Generate reports, provide key information for compensation reviews, administer employee changes, provide HRIS data maintenance and employee support
- Benefits and pension administration – Operate as a key resource and support for staff, lead day to day administration (in conjunction with finance team) including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Recognition program and events – Plan, organize and execute recognition and other innovative employee engagement programs
- Systems work – Leverage and master software such as HRIS, Applicant Tracking, Learning Management, Recognition and Benefits
- Employee Relations – Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance on HR-related matters
- Each day is different from the next; especially in personal interactions
- Fast-paced environment
- Multiple projects going simultaneously

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Administration or equivalent experience
- Outgoing attitude with an ability to thrive under a multi-tasking and deadline driven environment
- Skillful communication abilities, both oral and written
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills and experience working in a detail-oriented environment
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
Compensation Highlights:
- Competitive salary package range ($35,800 to $40,000)
