Requires a Part Time (0.5 FTE) Probationary CTS Teacher

Clearview Public Schools is accepting applications for a part time (0.5 FTE) probationary teaching position at the Gus Wetter School commencing August 27, 2024 and concluding June 30, 2025. Located in Castor, Alberta, Gus Wetter School is a vibrant and modern school with approximately 225 students in grades K-12. This teaching assignment will include teaching fabrication, building construction as well as some mechanics modules at the grade 7-12 level.

The successful applicant will be a highly organized, student focused teacher who works well in a collaborative team oriented environment and focuses on building professional and effective relationships with students. Experience using a wide variety of technology tools in a learning setting, effective classroom management, ability to communicate with students and parents, and ability to establish high expectations for student learning are valuable skills.

The ideal candidate will be eligible for an Alberta teaching certificate and have a journeyman certificate in welding, building construction, mechanics or in a related field. Candidates with a journeyman certificate and a willingness and ability to complete the Bridge to Teaching program will also be considered.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector prior to employment commencing.
